Terms and Condition
Fostering a Safe and Productive Community
The Terms and Conditions (T&C) serve as the legal agreement between Free Learn Academy and its users. For a free platform, the T&C is less about commercial transactions and more about governing user behavior, protecting intellectual property, and limiting organizational liability.
Key Clauses:
User Conduct: A core section will outline a clear code of conduct, prohibiting illegal activities, harassment, and the sharing of inappropriate or defamatory content. This clause is crucial for maintaining a safe and productive learning environment, particularly given the platform's open nature and wide audience.
Intellectual Property (IP): This section will serve a dual purpose: it will protect the platform's own IP (branding, website content) and clarify the legal standing of third-party content. It will state that while Free Learn Academy's proprietary content is protected by copyright, all third-party content (e.g., YouTube videos) remains the property of the original creator.
Content Curation & Fair Use: A specific clause will explain the platform’s content curation model and how it operates under the “Fair Use” principles. It will state that the platform adds value by organizing and supplementing external content for educational purposes and provides proper attribution to all original sources.
Limitation of Liability: This is a vital legal clause for a free service. It will state that the platform and its partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the services. It will also explicitly disclaim any liability for the content of linked third-party websites.
